ground beef
onion, finely diced
1/4 c
chopped green bell pepper
1 (15 oz.) can(s)
tomato sauce
1 (14 oz.) can(s)
diced tomatoes, drained
1 (6 oz.) can(s)
tomato paste
1 (16 oz.) can(s)
kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 tsp
ground cumin
1/2 tsp
ground cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp
garlic powder

How to Make Skillet Chili


  • 1Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet; cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown; drain excess fat and crumble.
  • 2Stir in onion, green pepper, tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes and kidney beans; season with chili powder, hot sauce, ground cumin, cayenne pepper and garlic powder.
  • 3Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until desired consistency (at least 1 hour for best flavor).
