A chili recipe that's made in a skillet; guanteed to warm you up on a Fall or Winter day! Serve with oyster crackers, sour cream and cheese, if you'd like!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 - onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

How To Make skillet chili

  • Step 1
    Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet; cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown; drain excess fat and crumble.
  • Step 2
    Stir in onion, green pepper, tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes and kidney beans; season with chili powder, hot sauce, ground cumin, cayenne pepper and garlic powder.
  • Step 3
    Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until desired consistency (at least 1 hour for best flavor).
