Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground hamburger meat
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 can tomato sauce, 15 oz.
- 1 can tomato paste, 6 oz.
- 1 can rotel tomatoes, 15 oz.
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- package toasted chalupa shells
- 1 can refried beans
- toppings of choice
How To Make sister tooley's chalupas

Step 1Brown the hamburger meat and drain the fats. Add the onion and garlic and cook on medium to sweat them.

Step 2Add the can goods (except the refried beans) and seasonings, adding a little of water if needed. Simmer on low for about 30 minutes to an hour to combine the flavors.

Step 3Serve on toasted chalupa shells, top with refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream and taco sauce. Enjoy...

Step 4For variety, top some mixed greens, tomatoes with the chalupa mix and some sour cream, taco sauce and good dose of Cheesy Corn Chex for super taco salad!
