Sister Chili

This was recipe my sisters and I came up with while caring for our mom, who was sick with Cancer. We kept it on the stove for all my mothers visitors and her Nurses.Mom insisted on making sure eveyone who visited would be welcome in her home and fed.This is easy and freezes well and makes really good frito pies.I buy small bags to use like at the county fair.

Stove Top


4 lb
lean hamburger
1 tsp
1 small
chopped onion
1 medium
can ranch style beans (undrained) lg can if you like
1 can(s)
12 0z. tomato paste
2 can(s)
4 0z. tomato sauce
1 pkg
4lb. williams chili seasoning (or 2 small)
1 can(s)
petite diced tomatoes ( or 1 can roitel)


1Brown and Drain Hamburger, Place Back in a large stew pot.
2Add Onions, Cumin, Salt, Chili Seasoning
and enough water to cover meat.
3Simmer 15 min. to make a stock.
4Then add paste and a can of water from the can. and the Tomato Sauce
5Add Ranch Style Beans with the juice and stir.
6Simmer slowly and adjust salt and Pepper to your taste.
7Also adjust water if needed to your desired consistency.
