This is a dish my mom showed me how to make. I love it and so does my family. It's a great way for the kids to get their veggies that they don't seem to resist.

lean ground meat
1 small
onion, diced
1/4 c
1 can(s)
cream soup (mushroom, potato, any cream soup works)
1 c
frozen mixed veggies
1 c
shredded cheese
1 pkg
frozen tator tots
spices to taste - we use garlic powder, salt, pepper

How to Make Simple Tater Tot Casserole


  • 1Brown ground meat and onions until cooked through.
  • 2Spread in the bottom of ungreased baking dish deep enough for layers.
  • 3Mix 1 can creamed soup and 1/4 cup milk. Pour evenly over meat mixture.
  • 4Spread frozen vegetables over mixture. Sprinkle shredded cheese over top.
  • 5Dump bag of frozen tater tots over the top evenly. We usually sprinkle more shredded cheese on top of this because we love cheese. But it isn't necessary.
  • 6Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Allow to sit for a few minutes before serving.
