Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 - egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1.5 cups mushrooms, sliced

How To Make simple salisbury steak

  • Step 1
    In a bowl, mix thoroughly 1/4 cup soup, beef, bread crumbs, egg and onion.
  • Step 2
    Shape firmly into 6 patties.
  • Step 3
    In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook patties, a few at a time, until browned on both sides.
  • Step 4
    Spoon off the fat.
  • Step 5
    Stir in the remaining soup and mushrooms; return patties to skillet.
  • Step 6
    Reduce heat to low.
  • Step 7
    Cover; simmer 20 minutes, or until done, turning patties occasionally.
