  • 3-4 lb
    boneless chuck roast
  • 1/4-1/2 c
  • 1 pkg
    mccormick's swiss steak seasoning
  • 1 stick
  • 1 lb
    mushrooms, fresh or canned

How to Make Shredded Pot Roast


  1. Wash and place meat in crock pot(thawed or frozen).
  2. Pour water over roast.
  3. Put dry seasoning over roast.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 5-9 hours or until fork tender.
  5. When roast in done, remove from crock pot.
  6. Put butter and mushrooms in broth.
  7. Pull fat off roast and discard.
  8. Use two forks to shred the roast.
  9. Mix broth, buter, mushrooms and roast in crock pot.
  10. Heat and serve.
