Ingredients

  • 3-4 pounds boneless chuck roast
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water
  • 1 package mccormick's swiss steak seasoning
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 pound mushrooms, fresh or canned

How To Make shredded pot roast

  • Step 1
    Wash and place meat in crock pot(thawed or frozen).
  • Step 2
    Pour water over roast.
  • Step 3
    Put dry seasoning over roast.
  • Step 4
    Cover and cook on high for 5-9 hours or until fork tender.
  • Step 5
    When roast in done, remove from crock pot.
  • Step 6
    Put butter and mushrooms in broth.
  • Step 7
    Pull fat off roast and discard.
  • Step 8
    Use two forks to shred the roast.
  • Step 9
    Mix broth, buter, mushrooms and roast in crock pot.
  • Step 10
    Heat and serve.
