I cannot take credit for this recipe, but it is by far the BEST one around...even better than any you could order.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 can french onion soup, condensed
  • 1 can beef broth, campbell's not swanson
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 1 tablespoon beef bouillon
  • 8-10 - french or italian rolls

How To Make shredded french dip

  • Step 1
    Halve roast and place in a slow cooker.
  • Step 2
    Combine the soup, consommé, broth and boullion; pour over roast.
  • Step 3
    Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours or until meat is tender.
  • Step 4
    Remove meat and shred with two forks. Serve on rolls. Skim fat from cooking juices and serve as a dipping sauce.
