Have been making these since in the 50s when I got it off a local TV program. Originally it was made in the oven but I have modified it for a slow cooker. It is a favorite of my friends and family.

Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3 pounds short ribs (can use part with the bone and part boneless)
- 2 - medium onions, sliced and cut into forths
- 1 cup vinegar (i use half white and half cider vinegar)
- 1 tablespoon paprika (i use hungarian but any will do)
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon red pepper (cayenne) to your own taste
- 1 can beef broth
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make short ribs

Step 1Brown short ribs and put into slow cooker.

Step 2Mix all ingredients together and pour over the short ribs in the slow cooker.

Step 3Cover and cook for 2 hours on high and from 6 to 8 hours on low. Will depend on your individual cooker. Mine is one you preset so I can pick the proper time.

Step 4Serve over noodles or over rice.
