Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    onion
  • 3 medium
    potatoes, sliced
  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    uncooked long grain rice
  • 1 c
    diced carrots
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • ·
    salt and pepper
  • ·
    paprika
  • 1 can(s)
    tomato soup
  • 1 c
    boiling water

How to Make Shipwreck Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Butter a 2-quart casserole. Layer with potatoes, onions, ground beef, rice, carrots, and celery, sprinkling each layer with salt, pepper, and paprika. Combine soup with boiling water; pour over all. Bake at 300° for 3 hours.
    Shipwreck casserole serves 4.
