An absolutely delicious, easy to make meal with a wonderful gravy. Smells great while cooking. Great company meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 - small onion, chopped
  • 1 - garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cans golden mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 3/4 cup sherry wine
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3-4 pounds chuck roast, cubed

How To Make sherried beef

  • Step 1
    In a skillet, saute onion and garlic in butter.
  • Step 2
    Add soup, sherry and water and simmer 1 minute.
  • Step 3
    Put cubed beef in a lightly greased large baking pan and pour soup mixture on top.
  • Step 4
    Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 3 hours.
  • Step 5
    Serve over noodles or rice.
