lean ground beef
1 large
tomato, chopped
mushrooms, sliced
2 Tbsp
parsley, chopped
1 Tbsp
tomato paste
1 dash(es)
worcestershire sauce
1 c
brown gravy
1 pkg
frozen peas

How to Make Shepherd's Pie


  • 1Cook potatoes in salted water to cover.
  • 2Drain, cool and peel.
  • 3Mash in large bowl with butter, milk and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • 4Set aside.
  • 5Saute beef until browned, stirring to keep meat crumbly.
  • 6Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • 7Add tomatoes, mushrooms, parsley, tomato paste, worcestershire and gravy.
  • 8Stir to mix.
  • 9Add peas and cook about 5 minutes.
  • 10Turn mixture into casserole.
  • 11Spread potatoes evenly over meat.
  • 12Bake at 400 degrees 40 minutes until top is crispy brown.
