This is so easy to make & takes very little time,less than an hour. It's a traditional dish around St Patricks' day at our home. Serve with a side salad.

Ingredients

lbs of ground beef
1 Tbsp
tomato paste
1 can(s)
peas & carrots
1 can(s)
corn
1 jar(s)
beef gravy
1
2 lb container of prepared mashed potatoes
1
small onion diced (or onion flakes to taste) optional

How to Make Shephards Pie (Quick & Easy)

Step-by-Step

  • 1Saute the onion in 2 tbs butter until softened.
  • 2Add ground beef & cook until no longer pink, drain off excess grease.
  • 3While ground beef is cooking, warm potatoes in microwave as per pkg directions.
  • 4Mix the veggies, tomato paste & gravy in with the ground beef.
  • 5Place this mixture into a 2 qt ovenproof casserole dish.
  • 6Layer the mashed potatoes on top, run a fork through it to form peaks. Then place under broiler until brown.
  • 7ENJOY.....HAPPY ST. PATRICKS' DAY!
