shepard's pie
My friends and family love this when I make it. I make it many different ways. Here's one of the ways. It's also great when you have leftovers and you have no idea what to make.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups dry instant mash potatoes
- 1 1/2 cups water, boiling
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- dash garlic salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
- 1 or 6 - 1 pie shell or 6 small pie shells
- 1 cup mixed vegetables, frozen of your likings
- 1 teaspoon butter, melted
- 1 small onion cut and cubed
How To Make shepard's pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees f

Step 2In med. saucepan boil the water, milk and butter. Add the instant mashed potatoes, garlic salt and pepper. Stir. Remove from heat. Set aside.

Step 3Place veggies in water, bring to a boil. Set aside.

Step 4Brown the beef in a med. frying pan. Brown the onions after draining the grease.

Step 5Take the pie(s) add the ground beef 1st, then the veggies 2nd and potatoes last. With a fork drag it across the potatoes and drizzle some melted butter on top.

Step 6Bake for 30 to 45 mins. or potatoes are lightly browned.

Step 7Remove from oven and serve.
