Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground round or ground sirloin
- 1 medium white onion, chopped
- 3 cans dark red kidney beans
- 1 can stewed tomatoes (28 oz or 1 quart jar home-canned stewed tomatoes)
- 3 cans tomato sauce (15 oz each)
- 8 ounces fresh button mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped jalapeno peppers
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cumin
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chipotle chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- - salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make spicy chili

Step 1In dutch oven, brown meat with onions. Drain well and return to pan.

Step 2Add tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, kidney beans, mushrooms, jalapenos, and brown sugar/spices.

Step 3Bring to full boil, and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 2 hours to allow flavors to meld, stirring occasionally. NOTE- Cumin, chili powder, and jalapeno amounts can be adjusted to suit your personal taste.
