1Heat large skillet to medium heat.
Add beef, onions, garlic, salt & pepper to large skillet. Brown beef until done & veggies are soft. Add mushrooms until cooked.
2Sprinkle flour over the pan & stir for 2 minutes to coat. Slowly pour in beef broth & let come back up to a slow boil. Add potatoes slices & thyme. Cover for 20 minutes stirring occasionally. When potatoes are tender, remove from heat & add sour cream & cream. Great with rice or egg noodles.
3This is great as a left over the next day. If the dish sauce is too thick, just add water or beef broth.
