My daughter, who is NOT a sauerkraut fan, loves this hotdish! There are lots of variations out there but we like this one which I have tweaked a bit! Enjoy!

How to Make Sauerkraut Hotdish

  1. Brown hamburger with onion and mushrooms, drain. Add soups and milk to hamburger. Stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Cook noodles for 1/2 time indicated on package, about 10 minutes, drain. Noodles will finish cooking while baking.
  3. Grease cooking dish, I use a cake pan, with butter. Begin layering 1/2 of noodles, sauerkraut, hamburger mixture and cheese. Repeat.
  4. Bake in 350 oven for 45 minutes or until bubbly.
