My daughter, who is NOT a sauerkraut fan, loves this hotdish! There are lots of variations out there but we like this one which I have tweaked a bit! Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, more or less to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper, more or less to taste
- 10 1/2 ounces can cream of muchroom soup
- 10 1/2 ounces can cream of celery soup
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 12 ounces frozen homestyle egg noodles
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 15 ounces canned sauerkraut, drained
How To Make sauerkraut hotdish

Step 1Brown hamburger with onion and mushrooms, drain. Add soups and milk to hamburger. Stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2Cook noodles for 1/2 time indicated on package, about 10 minutes, drain. Noodles will finish cooking while baking.

Step 3Grease cooking dish, I use a cake pan, with butter. Begin layering 1/2 of noodles, sauerkraut, hamburger mixture and cheese. Repeat.

Step 4Bake in 350 oven for 45 minutes or until bubbly.
