Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless round steak
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup catsup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

How To Make saucy oven-barbecued steaks

  • Step 1
    Trim excess fat from steak,and cut into serving-pieces.Heat oil in a large skillet;add steak,and brown on both sides.Transfer steak to a 2-quart shallow baking dish.
  • Step 2
    Combine remaining ingredients,stirring well;pour over steak.Cover and bake at 325*F.for 11/2 hours or until tender
