How to Make Sauce Pot Meat Balls

Step-by-Step

  1. In a pot, bring onion soup mix, water and 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce to a boil. Simmer covered for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix ground beef or turkey, seasonings and remaining 1/2 can tomato sauce.
  3. Shape into meatballs and place in tomato sauce mixture. Simmer gently, uncovered for 25 minutes, turning meatballs occasionally.
  4. My mom served this over wide egg noodles or you can serve over rice. We usually had green beans, a salad and hot sourdough bread. Brings back memories as I write this.
