white corn meal

How to Make San Antonio Chili


  • 1In dutch oven, brown ground meat; drain.
  • 2Add seasoning and water; heat to boil.
  • 3Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • 4Skim off fat.
  • 5Stir in corn meal and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 6Variation: Try part ground beef, pork and venison as a substitute for the chili meat for a wonderfull flavor variation.
