Ingredients

  • 10.75 oz
    cream of mushroom soup, condensed
  • 1 Tbsp
    prepared mustard
  • 2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    prepared horseradish
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/4 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1.5 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh parsley, chopped
  • ·
    pepper to taste

How to Make Salisbury Steak Deluxe

Step-by-Step

  1. In a bowl, combine the soup, mustard, worcestershire sauce and horseradish; blend well and set aside.
  2. In another bowl, lightly beat the egg.
  3. Add bread crumbs, onion, salt, pepper and 1/4 cup of the soup mixture.
  4. Add beef and mix well.
  5. Shape into six patties.
  6. In a large skillet, brown the patties in oil; drain.
  7. Combine remaining soup mixture with water; pour over patties.
  8. Cover and cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes or until meat is done.
  9. Remove patties to a serving platter; spoon sauce over meat and sprinkle with parsley.
