Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    onion soup mix
  • 5-6
    shakes of worcestershire sauce
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 c
    breadcrumbs or finely crushed saltine crackers
  • 1-=2 Tbsp
    butter or oil
  • 2 pkg
    brown gravy mix, prepared according to instruction

How to Make Salisbury Steak

Step-by-Step

  1. In large bowl, combine ground beef, soup mix, worcestershire sauce, egg and bread crumbs with clean hands.
  2. In large skillet, heat small amount of oil or butter. Form beef mixture into 4 large patties (you could make smaller patties and have 6 if desirable). Place in skillet and cook over medium heat, turning once, until cooked through.
  3. When done, place on plate and cover with prepared gravy.
