Ingredients

  • 4 large green bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground chuck -- cooked
  • 1 package lipton spanish rice
  • 1 package hormel mild taco seasoning
  • 1 small red onion -- diced
  • 2 (15 oz) cans tomato sauce

How To Make rob's spicy stuffed peppers

  • Step 1
    Prepare your rice according to the package directions and set aside.
  • Step 2
    In large skillet brown you meat & onions until meat is browned. Drain off all fat. Then add package of taco seasoning with a 1/2 cup of water and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Let it all rest and cool for 5 minutes or so.
  • Step 4
    In a large bowl mix your meat mixture, rice, one can of tomato sauce, and set aside.
  • Step 5
    Cut green bell peppers in half, remove caps and seeds; rinse.
  • Step 6
    Add beef and rice mixture to green bell pepper halves.
  • Step 7
    Arrange in glass casserole dish.
  • Step 8
    Pour the second can of tomato sauce over top of the stuffed peppers.
  • Step 9
    Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
