1Cover and bake the beef in a 350 oven until done. This is approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
2In a crock pot add: water, sauce, onion, green pepper and spices. The Anise seed is the secret to this recipe.
3When the beef is done, slice and add to the sauce in the crockpot. Simmer the beef in the crockpot about 2 hours.
4Assemble the crockpot ingredients with a large slotted spoon, onto a six inch sliced portion of the french bread. Top with pepper jack cheese. Be sure to put some au jus on the top! Slightly toast if you like.
