I have adopted this orphaned recipe and tweaked it to make it my own. Will take a pic the next time I make it, if I can figure out how, lol. Let me know if you enjoy it!

Ingredients
- 2 pounds stew beef, seasoned, your choice
- 1/4 cup flour, or enough to coat beef
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 cans potatoes, chunked
- 2 large carrot, chunked
- 1 medium onion, rough chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (i use a garlic press)
- 1 can beef consomme
- 1 can beef broth
- 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 3/4 cup red wine
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon rosemary, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper, or to taste
How To Make ria's savory beef stew

Step 1Season the beef chunks with salt & pepper, then coat with flour.

Step 2Meanwhile, in a dutch oven w/lid, heat oil over medium high heat. Add the beef and cook, turning until browned.

Step 3Remove beef and set aside.

Step 4Add next 4 ingredients to saucepan; saute 5 minutes.

Step 5Return beef to saucepan.

Step 6Add beef consomme, and next 5 ingredients.

Step 7Bring to a boil.

Step 8Reduce heat, cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 45 minutes.

Step 9Adjust seasoning as needed with salt and pepper.

Step 10Serve over rice or noodles, accompanied by southern cornbread.
