I have adopted this orphaned recipe and tweaked it to make it my own. Will take a pic the next time I make it, if I can figure out how, lol. Let me know if you enjoy it!

Ingredients For ria's savory beef stew

2 lbstew beef, seasoned, your choice
-
1/4 cflour, or enough to coat beef

1/4 coil
-
2 canpotatoes, chunked
-
2 lgcarrot, chunked
-
1 mdonion, rough chopped
-
2 clovegarlic, minced (i use a garlic press)

1 canbeef consomme
-
1 canbeef broth
-
28 ozcrushed tomatoes
-
3/4 cred wine
-
1/2 tspthyme, crushed
-
1/4 tsprosemary, crushed
-
1/4 tspsalt, or to taste
-
1/8 tsppepper, or to taste
How To Make ria's savory beef stew

1Season the beef chunks with salt & pepper, then coat with flour.

2Meanwhile, in a dutch oven w/lid, heat oil over medium high heat. Add the beef and cook, turning until browned.

3Remove beef and set aside.

4Add next 4 ingredients to saucepan; saute 5 minutes.

5Return beef to saucepan.

6Add beef consomme, and next 5 ingredients.

7Bring to a boil.

8Reduce heat, cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 45 minutes.

9Adjust seasoning as needed with salt and pepper.

10Serve over rice or noodles, accompanied by southern cornbread.
