Ingredients
- 1 pound extra lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 4-8 tablespoons sauerkraut, rinsed, drained
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 4 slices rye bread
- 4 tablespoons russian dressing
How To Make reuben burgers

Step 1Mix beef, onion and ground pepper together and form 4 patties of equal size about 3/4" thick.

Step 2Grill or broil, 4" from souce of heat, for 3 minutes on each side for medium-rear.

Step 3Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of sauerkraut on the center of each patty and top with one 1 ounce slice of swiss cheese.

Step 4Grill for 1 to 2 minutes, until the cheese melts.

Step 5Serve each patty open-face on a slice of toasted or grilled rye bread.

Step 6Top each serving with 1 tablespoon of russian dressing.
