redneck shepard's pie

This recipe originated from an old Navy Wives cookbook that my mother use to own. It was originally called GreenBean Casserole - but I changed the name because it is nothing like the one you make at Thanksgiving. This is one pot comfort food at it's best - my family loves it!

Ingredients
- 1 pound hamburger meat - browned and drained
- 1 can cut green beans drained
- 1 can condensed tomato soup
- dash salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons worchestshire sauce
- 4 cups hot instant mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (optional)
How To Make redneck shepard's pie

Step 1Brown Hamburger and drain. In same pot add drained green beans and tomato soup - stir to combine. Add Salt & pepper and worchestshire sauce and cook on medium temp for about 10-15 minutes, until green beans are cooked and softened.

Step 2While cooking down meat mixture make 4 cups of instant mashed potatoes according to box directions.

Step 3Turn the meat mixture into a medium sized casserole dish. Top meat mixture with mounds of instant potatoes and spread to sides to seal. Top with shredded cheddar cheese if desired.

Step 4Bake at 375 for 25 minutes. Let it stand 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
