Got this recipe from a 1972 Family Circle "Cooking" cookbook. Thought it was different and sounded good, sThought I'd share

Ingredients

  • 1 can 1 lb julienne beets
  • 2 cans 1 lb ea. corned beef hash
  • 1 tablespoon instant minced onions

How To Make red flannel hash

  • Step 1
    Drain beets and dry between paper towels, Mix drained beets with other ingredients, tearing hash apart with a fork
  • Step 2
    Form into 8 thick patties
  • Step 3
    sautee slowly , turning only once until crusty brown in a large frying pan. ( no need to add any fat )
  • Step 4
    Serve hot with catsup or mustard if you wish
