Ingredients
- 1/2 package frozen plain meatballs (any brand)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 small yellow onions (optional)
- 1/2 cup 2% milk
- 2 tablespoons bisto gravy granules (or 1/2 jar beef gravy)
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups water (omit if you are using jarred gravy)
- - ***this dish can be served alone as appetizer or as a meal with rice, egg noodles, or mashed potatoes***
How To Make quick mushroomy meatballs
-
Step 1Chop onions (if using). Put together with frozen meatballs in a large covered non-stick pan (big enough so meatballs are in one layer on the bottom). You can add a bit of oil if you like. Lightly brown meatballs and soften onions.
-
Step 2If using Bisto Granules, add water (just enough to cover meatballs) and Bisto. Stir to deslove. Heat until gently bubbling. If using jarred gravy, add that now (no water needed). Heat until gravy is gently bubbling.
-
Step 3Add cream of mushroom soup, milk, and balsamic vinegar. Stir until well blended. Cover pan and simmer for approximately 20 minutes until meatballs completely warmed.
-
Step 4If used as a appetizer you can transfer to crock pot to keep warm. If using as a main meal it can be served with rice, egg noodles, or mashed potatoes.
