Whenever I am in a hurry, this delicious and satisfying meat dish takes first place. I learned to make London Broil when I lived up north in New Jersey. My neighbor and good friend Margaret shared her recipe with me, and this great meat dish has been a favorite ever since then. Thanks, Margaret. Enjoy

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Keep a packet of Montreal steak seasoning handy, so you can easily make this London broil. Simply sprinkling the seasoning packet over the steak adds tons of flavor to the meat. We opted to broil it and the meal came together quickly. Drizzling the savory and sweet marinade over the meat after it has rested, just adds to the flavor. Cutting against the grain of the meat helps tenderize this traditionally tougher cut of meat.

How To Make quick london broil

  • Olive oil and seasoning on a London broil.
    Step 1
Rub a little olive oil on each side of your piece of meat. Open a packet of Montreal steak marinade and sprinkle it all over each side of the meat. Do not dilute the steak marinade use it as a dry rub. Let set for five minutes.
  • Broiling the London broil.
    Step 2
Next put on a hot grill over coals or under the broiler in your stove. Broil for about 6/7 minutes on each side. Take out after about 14 minutes and let the meat rest for about 10 minutes. If you like your meat rarer, then only broil or grill for 6 minutes on each side.
  • A Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, and olive oil marinade to pour over the meat.
    Step 3
While your meat is broiling, mix the Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, and olive oil in a measuring cup. Blend well with a small whisk or fork until all the mustard and sugar are well incorporated.
  • Quick London Broil sliced with asparagus on the side.
    Step 4
Next, after the meat has rested, slice it against the grain in thin slices. Serve with the Worcestershire marinade on top of your meat. While the meat is broiling I put three potatoes in the microwave and in 10 minutes they are done. I serve the potatoes with butter and sour cream along with the meat add a salad and dinner is done. Delicious and fast. Enjoy.
