Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef or turkey
- 3/4 cup quaker oats
- 3/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 - egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- FOR THE SAUCE:
- 1/2 cup grated onion
- 1 cup ketchup
- 5 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1-2 tablespoon vinegar

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredientsin large bowl; mix lightly but thoroughly. Bake 50-55 minutes or until meatloaf is to medium doneness. (Beef 160 degrees, Turkey 170).

Step 2Twenty minutes before the meatloaf is done, drain off grease and liquid. Cover the meatloaf with 1/2 cup of the grated onion. Mix the remaining sauce ingredients in a pan and heat slightly, do not boil. Brush on top of meatloaf. If you like more sauce you can always double the ingredients. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
