Ingredients

1 1/2 lblean ground beef or turkey

3/4 cquaker oats

3/4 cfinely chopped onion
-
1/2 cketchup
-
1egg, lightly beaten
-
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce
-
2 clovegarlic, minced
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/4 tsppepper
-
FOR THE SAUCE:
-
1/2 cgrated onion
-
1 cketchup
-
5 Tbspbrown sugar
-
1-2 Tbspvinegar
How to Make Prize winning meatloaf
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredientsin large bowl; mix lightly but thoroughly. Bake 50-55 minutes or until meatloaf is to medium doneness. (Beef 160 degrees, Turkey 170).
- Twenty minutes before the meatloaf is done, drain off grease and liquid. Cover the meatloaf with 1/2 cup of the grated onion. Mix the remaining sauce ingredients in a pan and heat slightly, do not boil. Brush on top of meatloaf. If you like more sauce you can always double the ingredients. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
