Ingredients
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 2/3 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 can condensed beef consomme
How To Make potluck meatballs

Step 1In a bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients; add beef and mix well.

Step 2Shape into 1 1/4-inch balls.

Step 3In a skillet over medium heat, brown meatballs; drain.

Step 4Transfer to a greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

Step 5Combine the cornstarch and the consomme until smooth; add to skillet.

Step 6Bring to a boil, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan.

Step 7Boil for 2 minutes or until thickened.

Step 8Pour over the meatballs.

Step 9Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until no longer pink.
