prep time 10 Min
cook time 6 Hr
method Slow Cooker Crock Pot
yield 6 with some beef left over, but not bread

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pot roast or chuck roast
  • 1 package mccormicks marinade, any you like, i used some type of bbq but cant remember which
  • 1 - green bell pepper
  • 1 - vidalia onion
  • 2 cans beef broth
  • 1 cup water

  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 12 ounces beer or any kind of soda...i didnt have beer so i added a can of mt. dew

How To Make pot roast sandwiches

  • Step 1
put roast in crock pot overnight, add your spices, marinade, water, and beef broth
  • Step 2
the next day sautee' onion and pepper, make beer bread according to package and shred your roast
  • Step 3
put roast, onion and peeper back into the crockpot
  • Step 4
when you are ready to eat drain the liquid off the roast and turn on the broiler in your oven
  • Step 5
slice your beer bread in THICK slices, add your mayo or the garlic garlic spread, pile on the shredded roast, add one or two slices of provolone cheese, (I only added one slice but wished I added a second). Assemble the sandwiches right on your broiler pan, makes it easier
