My mom used to make this when she wanted a 'good'dinner. I havent heard of any one else makeing it. Simple and yummy

Ingredients

beef chuck roast sized for your family
homemade or packaged cornbread stuffing
your favorite beef gravey mix

How to Make Pot Roast in Dressing

Step-by-Step

  • 1Prepare dressing[stuffing] as directed,or make your homemade.Do not bake yet. Place in large casserole or 9x12 pan.
  • 2Cook your Chuck Roast as you usually do. Let sit few minutes. Slice into serving size slices. Make your gravey from drippings. I add a pack of Beef gravey mix.
  • 3Tuck Roast slices into the dressing[stuffing] Just put them in a row up and down till you have filled the stuffing with the slices. Then pour the gravey over it all
  • 4Cover wit foil or lid. Put in 350 oven bake about 30 minutes . Remove lid and cook additonal 10. Yummy Serve with green beans and a salad or slaw.
