pizza swiss steak
(1 RATING)
This is a great comfort food served with mashed potatoes and your favorite veggies. This is one of my Mom's recipes and has never failed to be delicious in all of the 35 years we have been making it. I's especially good on a cold snowy evening but good during the summer as well.

How To Make pizza swiss steak
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut steak in serving size pieces. Score on both sides with sharp knife. Combine flour, salt, and pepper and lightly pound into steak. Brown slowly on both sides in oil.
-
Step 2Combine remaining ingrediants except onion in a bowl and pour over meat. Top with onion slices and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
-
Step 3Cover and bake in oven for 1 hour until tender. I don't have an oven proof pan so I transfer everything to a 9X12 glass pan and cover with foil.
