Ingredients For pinto bean chili

  • 1 1/2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1 can
    (16oz) stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can
    (15oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can
    (15.5oz) trappey's pinto beans
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make pinto bean chili

  • 1
    Place ground beef and onion in large saucepan and cook over medium-high heat 5 minutes until browned. Drain off excess fat. Stir tomatoes, tomato sauce, pinto beans, chili powder, salt and pepper into meat mixture. Reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
