Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons italian dressing
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 15 ounces pineapple slices in juice
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

How To Make pineapple burgers

  • Step 1
    Mix ground beef and Italian dressing, salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    Shape into 8 patties.
  • Step 3
    Press a pineapple slice into each pattie.
  • Step 4
    Wrap with a slice of bacon and secure with wooden toothpick.
  • Step 5
    Mix remaining ingredients.
  • Step 6
    Place patties in glass 13 x 9 dish.
  • Step 7
    Pour barbecue sauce mix on patties.
  • Step 8
    Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Step 9
    Grill patties, pineapple side down, about 10 minutes.
  • Step 10
    Turn, brush with sauce.
  • Step 11
    Grill another 10 minutes.
  • Step 12
    Heat remaining sauce to serve with burgers.
