Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 cup diced red onion
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 1 cup diced green (or red) pepper
- 1 pound lean ground round beef
- 2 1/2 cups low sodium tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon drained capers
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 cups cooked rice
How To Make picadillo

Step 1Heat the oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic and green pepper. Saute 5 minutes

Step 2Add the beef, and brown, breaking into small pieces. Drain fat.

Step 3Add the tomato sauce and stir well. Add the worcestershire sauce, capers and hite vinegar.

Step 4Lower the heat to medium, simmer , cooking occasionally for about 10 minutes or until the meat is cooked through.

Step 5Add salt and pepper to taste, and add more vinegar if desired. Serve over
