Becareful with the garlic, if you cook it to fast and long it will burn and have a bitter taste..

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chpped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 medium green pepper choped
  • 1 large carrots, chopped
  • 2 large potatoes small diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1 can black olives
  • 1 package yellow corn
  • 1 tablespoon oil

How To Make picadillo

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet brown your ground beef untill lightly borwn. Drain and add oragano, set aside.
  • Step 2
    In another skillet, add your oil and chopped carrots, grren peppers and potatoes, because they take longer to cook. Once they are almost tender add the onion, saute until transparent about 3 minutes on meduim heat,then add your garlic for about 1 minute.
  • Step 3
    Add the vegatable mixture to the ground beef and cook until beef is fully cooked. Finishing the beef with the vegatable add more favor to them..For about another 5 min.
  • Step 4
    Add the thawed corn to mixture and heat through. At the last min add the black olives so that the keep there tart favor and keep them firm.
  • Step 5
    Great with corn tortilla
