This was very good, although the kids didn't like the red pepper. Served this with fruit salad & green beans.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups uncooked egg noodles
  • 2 pounds boneless sirloin steak, 3/4" thick
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup green pepper (i used red)
  • 1 3/4 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup fat free half & half
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 cup reduced fat cheddar cheese

How To Make philly cheesesteak casserole

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350*. Spray 11 x 9" glass baking dish with Pam. Cook and drain noodles as directed.
  • Step 2
    Remove fat from beef. Cut into 3/4" pieces. Heat skillet over medium heat. Cook beef and salt & pepper in skillet 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown. Stir in onions & bell pepper. Cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour into baking dish.
  • Step 3
    In bowl, beat broth and flour with wire whisk until smooth. Add to skillet, heat to boiling. Cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens; remove from heat. Stir in half & half and mustard. Spoon over beef mixture. Stir in cooked noodles.
  • Step 4
    Cover and bake 40 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake uncovered about 10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
