pepper steak with onions & tomatoes

Delicious-ness in a crockpot! When I came home from work my house smelled so good and dinner was done and that is a great thing! All I had to do was make the rice! We loved this! So much flavor and even my green pepper hating DH ate every bite, no picking out the peppers! This recipe is definitely going into my dinner rotation!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds round steak, cut in serving size pieces (i used 4 angus beef english cut steaks)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 large onion, cut into rings
  • 2 large green peppers, cut into strips
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon oregano or italian seasoning

How To Make pepper steak with onions & tomatoes

  • Step 1
    Cut round steak in serving size pieces. Roll in flour that has been seasoned with the pepper and garlic powder. Brown in oil on each side. You don’t have to completely cook the meat just brown it good. Place browned meat in slow cooker and put the rest of the ingredients on top of the meat. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for about 6 hours. I served over rice but noodles or mashed potatoes would be good too!
