Ingredients
- 1 package round steak
- 1 cup flour, seasoned
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cans tomato sauce, small
- 2 cans water
How To Make paw paw caston's swiss steak
-
Step 1Clean, cut, tenderize your round steak. Drag the steak through your seasoned flour. Brown the floured beef in the cooking oil over medium heat.
-
Step 2Remove the meat from the skillet and saute the sliced onions in the remaining oil (you may need to add a little if browning of the meat absorbed too much).
-
Step 3Return the meat to the pan, adding the two cans of tomato sauce and two cans of water. Bring to a boil, then lower to a simmer, covering the skillet. Simmer and render the mixture down to the consistency you prefer (some like it thicker than others). Serve over warm rice and with some hot garlic toast! The yummiest ever...miss my Dad!
