Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds ground beef
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup corn flake crumbs
- 1 large egg, lighly beaten
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 6 slices mozzarella cheese
How To Make patties parmigiana

Step 1Mix the meat, onion, salt, worcestershire sauce and pepper together.

Step 2Shape the mixture into 6 patties, each about 3/4-inch thick.

Step 3Mix parmesan cheese and cornflake crumbs.

Step 4Dip the patties into the egg, then coat them with the cornflake mixture.

Step 5Brown the patties in a large skillet over medium heat, turning once (if the ground beef is lean, it may be necessary to add a small amount of shortening or salad oil to the skillet when browning the patties).

Step 6Drain off the excess fat.

Step 7Mix the tomato sauce and Italian seasoning and pour over the patties in the skillet.

Step 8Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 9Top each patty with a slice of cheese and cover.

Step 10Heat until the cheese is melted, about 2 minutes.

Step 11Serve the leftover sauce over the patties.
