Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds beef round steak, cut 3/4 inch thick
- 1 - egg, beaten
- cup milk
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs, dry
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 5/8 teaspoon pepper
- 3 tablespoons bacon drippings
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 6 small onions, peeled
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
How To Make parmesan round steak

Step 1Trim excess fat from steak; pound to 1/2 inch thickness.

Step 2Cut steak into serving size pieces.

Step 3Combine egg and milk; beat well.

Step 4Combine breadcrumbs, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper.

Step 5Dip steak in egg mixture, dredge in breadcrumb mixture and brown in bacon drippings.

Step 6Place steak in a lightly greased 2 quart baking dish.

Step 7Add water and sprinkle with oregano and cheese.

Step 8Add onions to steak; sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt and paprika.

Step 9Cover tightly and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until tender.
