After finding out I am allergic to tomatoes, the search for modified recipes began. This tastes close enough to real chili that I can use it for things like Frito pie, etc, and my kids like it.

taco seasoning mix
1 lb
lean ground beef
1 can(s)
refried beans, large
water, as needed
tortilla chips, corn chips, cheese, chopped onions, etc

How to Make Pansy's Tomato Free Chili


  • 1Brown the ground beef and drain, if desired.
  • 2Stir in taco seasoning and the amount of water specified on package.
    Stir in refried beans, and warm through, adding more water if too thick.
  • 3Serve and top with your favorite extras. :)
