boneless beef sirloin steak
1 Tbsp
unsalted butter
2 c
fresh mushrooms
1 Tbsp
all-purpose flour
1 c
canned beef broth

How to Make Pan Seared Steak With Mushroom Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1cut beef into serving pieces, slice mushrooms
  • 2Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
  • 3Cook the steaks in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 4 -5 minutes each side for medium rare.
  • 4Remove the steaks from the skillet. Do not pour off any fat.
  • 5Heat the butter in the skillet. Add the mushrooms and cook until tender
  • 6Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually stir in the stock. Cook and stir until the mixture boils and thickens.
  • 7Serve the mushroom sauce with the steaks.
