Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 cups fresh mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 cup canned beef broth
How To Make pan seared steak with mushroom sauce

Step 1cut beef into serving pieces, slice mushrooms

Step 2Season the steaks with salt and pepper.

Step 3Cook the steaks in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 4 -5 minutes each side for medium rare.

Step 4Remove the steaks from the skillet. Do not pour off any fat.

Step 5Heat the butter in the skillet. Add the mushrooms and cook until tender

Step 6Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually stir in the stock. Cook and stir until the mixture boils and thickens.

Step 7Serve the mushroom sauce with the steaks.
