I am not sure where I found this marinade recipe, but I remember calling my mom in Kansas while visiting my sister in Montana to find my recipe so we could have grilled leg of lamb. My sister has used it ever since then and she and I never fail to get requests for the recipe once people taste it.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice, fresh
  • 3 tablespoons prepared mustard (yes, the yellow kind)
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons sugar (optional)

How To Make pam's favorite lamb and/or beef marinade

  • Step 1
Mix all ingredients together and place into large zippered storage bag or non-reactive (glass or plastic) container large enough to hold your meat. Add meat and marinate for at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
  • Step 2
Heat charcoal or gas grill to medium /high and grill meat to desired doneness.
  • Step 3
This is great for seasoning a butterflied leg of lamb to grill, or to marinate your beef cubes for luscious kabobs.
