Ingredients

  • 2/3 c
    bread crumbs
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped onions
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    sage
  • ·
    sauce:
  • 3 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    ketchup or chili sauce
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tsp
    mustard powder

How to Make Pain de viande (Meatloaf)

Step-by-Step

  1. Soak the breadcrumbs in the milk for about 20 minutes.
  2. Add remaining meat preparation and then mix well.
  3. Pour the result into a buttered bread mold.
  4. Cover with the sauce and bake 350 ° F for ¾ to 1 hour.
