Oven-Smoked Steak

Lillian Russo

There's nothing more satisfying than the taste of freshly barbequed beef on a grill. Here's a recipe for those days when you cannot use your outdoor grill. Its easy! I've made this many times! This recipe was posted on the Internet by a cook named Annieamie. The photo is my own.

2 large
pieces boneless sirloin roast
1 Tbsp
1/2 Tbsp
black pepper
2 Tbsp
chili powder
1 Tbsp
garlic powder
3 Tbsp
liquid smoke flavoring

1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2Add all of the dry spices together in a bowl and mix.
3Sprinkle the entire roast with the dry seasonings, rubbing them well into the meat.
4Place the beef into a baking pan.
5Sprinkle the liquid smoke over the meat.
6Cover the pan completely with foil and place in oven for 60 minutes.
7Remove foil and bake for 15 to 30 minutes, (depending on how rare you prefer your beef) and allow the top to brown.
8Remove beef from oven, cover and let the beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
9Slice against the grain and serve.
