Ingredients

  • 3 pounds lean stew beef in 1 inch cubes
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 package dry leek soup mix
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 1 - onion, cut into pieces
  • 5 medium baking potatoes, peeled, cut into eighths
  • 8 - carrots, peeled and halved crosswise
  • 2 cups broccoli florets

How To Make oven beef stew

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step 2
    In 5 quart dutch oven, combine beef, undiluted soup, dry soup mix, wine and onion.
  • Step 3
    Mix well.
  • Step 4
    Top with potato pieces and carrots, mixing in slightly. Cover and bake 2 hours.
  • Step 5
    Stir in broccoli, cover and bake 15 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Remove cover and bake 15 minutes longer.
