  • 3 lb
    lean stew beef in 1 inch cubes
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 pkg
    dry leek soup mix
  • 1 c
    dry red wine
  • 1
    onion, cut into pieces
  • 5 medium
    baking potatoes, peeled, cut into eighths
  • 8
    carrots, peeled and halved crosswise
  • 2 c
    broccoli florets

How to Make Oven Beef Stew


  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In 5 quart dutch oven, combine beef, undiluted soup, dry soup mix, wine and onion.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Top with potato pieces and carrots, mixing in slightly. Cover and bake 2 hours.
  5. Stir in broccoli, cover and bake 15 minutes.
  6. Remove cover and bake 15 minutes longer.
