Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck, boneless, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1-1/3 cup carrot, sliced
  • 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) whole peeled tomatoes, undrained and chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 envelope beefy onion or onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 package (8 ounces) noodles, cooked

How To Make oven baked beef bourguignonne

  • Step 1
    In a 2 quart casserole, toss beef with flour, then bake uncovered 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Add carrots, tomatoes and bay leaf, then beefy onion soup mix blended with wine.
  • Step 2
    Bake covered 1-1/2 hours or until beef is tender. Add mushrooms and bake covered 10 minutes more. Remove bay leaf.
  • Step 3
    Serve over cooked noodles.
